I love these dogs. Here is a demo I found on youtube on how to paint the dog in oil from a photo. Painter is Robert Hagan. Like all professional demos, he makes it look easy. I like how he uses a cheap worn out hardware brush for the grass. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsq71fnOY88

Thanks Grampy! Wow, was it in real time? He did it so quickly and so effortlessly! His art show looks interesting; I wonder if we'll get it here in Oz. He can paint anything by the looks of his promo for the show. I'm in awe!

I'm sure it was not in real time. The grunt work was edited out (like the grid drawing, brush cleaning, mixing, and many of the details were skipped in the short clip). I'd guess that it was approx 3-5 hours in real time. I have looked at his book at the library and was amazed at how beautiful his landscapes were.
Is it me, or do Aussies always sound so happy and positive when they talk?

Is it me, or do Aussies always sound so happy and positive when they talk? I'm just up and still bleary eyed so I haven't looked at the video yet but I had to reply to this remark. No Grampy, it's not just you. From my experience Ozzies do have a very outgoing and happy disposition. I don't know, there's a sort of magical quality about them. They have a joi de vivre that is totally untainted by any snobbery or feelings of self importance. Great company at any time! I'll have a look at the video later... you all make it sound like a must see.

Thanks, Grampy! I enjoyed this even though something is interfering with my cell phone internet tether this morning & it was slow loading. Very much worth the wait though.
JRT's are so high energy that I don't think I'd like to have one but I do like them. A friend has several & they wear me out just watching them! lol
