Ok, I'll go first. I wish I could say that I have a new painting, but I don't. I have been working on jewelery with sea shells. I am going to the beach where I have some of my art for sale. I am going to switch out my old paintings with the new ones I have.
I am also going to take some samples of necklaces that highlight shells to see if they would consider selling them. I am also going to take my notecards. I have not had time to package them like I want to. They are tied with ribbon and I am going to add a shell pendant to each one. If anyone has a quick, easy way to wrap/package them, let me know. I am leaving tomorrow.
Anyway, I have been busy.
Wish me luck, Oh, I also made The Seabrook Gallery official and set up a business license.
Lord help me!!

WoW Luara - you're a busy girl - glad to see you so active. I wish you much success. My own easel has been bare for over a month now and the thought foremost in my head at the moment is - who on earth ever said you could paint! Of course that's not the same thing as saying that I'm giving up. I'm going to look at this like physical exercise... just build up slowly again (and try to remember how things are actually done! ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) )

WOW, Laura - you sure are enterprising! Good for you...........I hope you do well in your new business. I think you have a winning attitude and your work is very good so you should do well. I believe that the trick is getting out there and selling yourself. I was at a local restaurant the other day and noticed that a local watercolorist has her paintings there and some cards and prints for sale as you enter/leave the front door. This restaurant is very quaint.....I would call it a "tea house". They have the old building and the victorian rooms all fancied up that women like. They serve scones with tea and specialty lunches as they close at 2 pm in the afternoon. Having the pictures on the walls, does help. It is a perfect place to sell such items. This same artist has a few of her pictures hanging at one of our local copy centers where she gets her prints made. Another good idea. Congratulations to you!!!!! ***************************** I don't have any projects going right now - just tons of ideas in my head ;D ;D

Thanks for the encouragement. I still feel like I am sticking my neck out on the chopping block. But ya gotta go for it.
Rose, of course you can paint, you are brilliant at your work. It will all come. Stress can be hard, but painting can be fun and relaxing, most of the time. I still can't get the hand on my Little Girl at the Beach.
Martina, put some of those ideas down on paper or whatever!!!
I'm going to take lots of pretty pictures, I hope at the beach.
Let's CREATE !!

Wow Lasi, lot of work for you!!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) But what do you mean should I do? Always when I read that in US a loval artist hast picture here and ther I am astonished about the possibilities for artists in USA. Here we don't have so many possibilities - and we only have a very small number of competitions. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) Thanks heaven we have internet. So one of my "projects" is to get into the CPSA or UKCPS and participate there in competitions. My actual project on my drawing board is a landscape.

Where are the pics of your projects?!!! lol
The notecards with the shell pendants sound like a great marketing tool! I wish you much success with the official business & I also wish you lots of sales at the beach & everywhere else!
I've not been doing much in the way of painting. My father has been ill & I've been on the phone & emailing back & forth with my sisters. Since he lives by himself in a somewhat rural area, we would like to see him move into an assisted-living community. He had the flu and got very sick and couldn't get ahold of my sister (who lives within 5 miles of him) to come help him. I think it frightened him. Anyway, you can imagine the the communications between the six of us kids and Dad also about what the next step should be!
I've also been trying to consolidate my various email accounts into one g-mail account. I ended up screwing up my business email and had to get that all taken care of. Always something when it comes to the internet!
Laura, lots & lots of luck to you - keep us posted on your business venture!
