I will check them all out later ...but first I have a question brought up by watching her 1st video. How many here use a light box ? I know Rose had one made for her . I am really curious about them . I typed in google but I 'm coming up with a million other things . I now want to have one but would like to here some advantages and disadvantages of them . I'm profoundly dissatisfied with tracing paper I very rarely use it because it frustrates me. I have so many ideas so many things I want to do .Does anyone ever get that way?
Thanks Jan for the info I'm looking forward to seeing the rest. I'm one of those people that accumulates tons and tons of info and then tackles these projects. I'm very excited !

I didn't get to watch all of the videos but what I did watch was pretty basic. I was just getting to the "meat" when I had to log off for a while. I hope they're decent. Tim, I use a light box & love it. It's the only way to go for getting a sketch onto the good paper as far as I'm concerned. I've ruined too many expensive sheets of paper trying to do the sketch on the paper and also trying to trace because I press too hard & get "valleys" or end up with a line I can't erase or cover! Before I got my cheapie light box, I used a glass storm window supported by a couple of bar stools with a small lamp under it! That worked just fine but probably wasn't real safe since it was real glass. It also could be uncomfortable because the height wasn't good - too tall for sitting and too short for standing. Tim, google light tables instead of light boxes & since you're so handy, I'll bet you could make one very easily. There are all kinds of plans for them on the net. Hope that helps! Later - OK I went on a little search for you and came up with the following: www.dickblick.com/categories/lighttables/So you'll know what to look for and maybe compare pricing for buying or building steampunkworkshop.com/lightbox.shtmlThe above looks like a good basic lightbox. Mine has a circular flourescent bulb so don't feel limited to his set up. Shoot! One more edit! I just remembered that I saw somewhere that someone made a light box from an old scanner! Seems the glass is perfect for it & the scanner bed is portable plus it can be converted very, very cheaply! OK, I'm done now!

We were at the hospital for 3.5 hours last night and they put him in a temporary cast x-ray didn't show any breaks but because of his age they are concerned about his growth plates and they want to keep all the ligaments in place and they are back to the fracture clinic for 7am this morning. Thanks for your concern ...personally I think he is enjoying the extra attention

Oh, good that he's being taken care of so well whether his ankle is broken or not. Give him the attention - it's not often any of us get any extra!
