This is my first coloured pencil drawing. It's A4 in size, on Canson 400 series paper done with Prismacolor pencils. Strawberry delight: And this one is my 2nd. It's A4 on drafting film done with Prismacolors again. Thanks to Wendy for the use of her excellent macro photo as a reference. Shoo fly: Another one; 12x14 inches on drafting film. Rrrribbit! This was an experiment using neocolors II (wax watercolour crayons) and Prisma CP's. I like the vivid colours. It's not my most realistic piece of work but I was striving to be more creative with this one! It's 9 x 13 inches on MiTeintes paper. The Cherished Prize: This one is 5 x 7 inches. Waiting: This one drove me mad with all the ellipses and reflections! Recycling: This is the Coloured Pencil painting I did for the Christmas card exchange: 'Dreaming of a white Christmas': This is my first Coloured Pencil portrait:

I've added my latest CP. It turned into a bit of a nightmare; I thought I'd picked up a piece of drafting film but it turns out I've done it on expensive tracing paper which feels like film! I thought it wasn't taking the pencils like previously and then I realised I couldn't erase, anyway by that point I was over half way through so I just kept going!
I would have allowed more room to the left of the cat but I had tried to blend using a copic blending pen and it dissolved the top layer of the paper, that's when I realised it wasn't drafting film!!!! Oh well, I won't make that mistake again!

The cat is really wonderful! Such a dreamy axpression - she looks like one of our cats looking through a window into the garden.
And you know (Warning: german saying somehow translated ;D ) - mistakes are there for to make them. Means if we don't make mistakes we cannot learn.
And this mistake looks awfully good!

Your little kitty really is amazing! If you hadn't told us, I would just assume that it was exactly what you wanted because it really looks great to me.

Andrea Color Pencil is definitely your medium. You are doing such a great job, that I wonder where you'll be in a couple of years, artistically speaking. I'll keep watching in amazement.
