Oh, ok. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Have you seen anything comparable like on the Dick Blick site or any others? It actually sounds like a great surface to work on - I was thinking about the Inktense pencils and also the acrylic inks I like so well. Actual canvas is too rough but watercolor paper doesn't quite get it either.
Is there a brand name for it? Or is there a website somewhere that might show a photo of it so I'll know what to look for? I'll keep my eyes open for anything like it.

It could be something very similar Jan, but the brand I have is Hahnemühle.
