Such a great job, 'ma Papillon'! This is so good, particularly because of what it evokes. This should be framed and hung prominently in your home.
One last little critique. There seems to be an errant pencil line on his chin, and again on the right side of the picture. Just an out of place little pencil line in each instance. Otherwise this is just right.
Or maybe what I am seeing is just an artifact on the scanner?

Thank you Martina and Deborah. And by golly by gee you're right - there is an errant pencil mark on the chin!! The black something on the right side of the picture though must me some smudge on the scanner platen - it's not in the original. I guess I should be doing some housekeeping eh!

[/i][/center][/quote] That is a lovely drawing ,i find it hard to draw old people , and hands are hard for me ,but that is a lovely noble picture very good xxx

This portrait is quite lovely and I love the glow around his head!
I love drawing old/older people as they have FAR more character in their faces than everyone else. My more fun to draw!
I love your blending too!
